Hi, I'm Monica!

I am an AI & machine learning scientist located in Amsterdam. I recently left academia to become an advisor on high performance machine learning at SURF (Dutch National Supercomputing Center). Before stepping into the field of AI for Science, I obtained a Ph.D. in applied math and control engineering at the University of Groningen focusing on data-driven methods for controlling unknown dynamical systems.

Besides working with data, I'm a landscape photographer, I travel, I love learning new things about science and technology, and occasionally write about my research.
